Hot water issues caused inconvenience .

We were there for 2 days, everything was perfect, loved its lovely location close to the garden and the guest accommodation, the river with splendid views from the garden and the guest accommodation and Southwold. The food was...  

the staff was attentive and efficient, offered to visit some nice places. the service was efficient, totally satisfied.

All was perfect!

During our stay, the fine views over the estuary captivated us. We especially enjoyed the good breakfast and cozy atmosphere A minor issue with hot water didn't overshadow our experience at this charming inn.

Amazing views and a cozy atmosphere. I particularly loved the variety of beers and the charming local walks right from the doorstep.

The views of the estuary were absolutely stunning! Breakfast with smoked kippers was a highlight. Only downside was a bit of a hiccup with the hot water during my stay. But overall, a lovely escape! 😊

Didn't like anything, except excellent choices.

The views from our room were lovely. We even took a walk along the river, where we spotted many wild birds in their habitat.

In my wife's opinion, the hotel needs better meal service. A smoother dining experience would be great for families with children.

Just had a fantastic stay. The large bathroom was perfect for relaxation, and breakfast was excellent with freshly smoked kippers! A lovely view from our room topped it all off.

good walks to fine beaches and charming villages

I loved how easy it was to stroll to the beautiful Southwold Pier and enjoy the scenic views along the way, making for an lovely weekend getaway that felt mad really like both an adventure and a retreat.

With fine views across the marshes, the serene atmosphere is a good surprise, despite the proximity to the A12. The spacious double room was impeccably clean and featured a large bathroom. Dining was really good, with delicious meals including Italian coffee that left a lasting impression. The bed was uncomfortably low and one of the slats was broken, which detracted from an otherwise perfect stay.

The accommodation was great with a cozy room and a fantastic view of the estuary. We loved enjoying the delicious breakfast and the friendly atmosphere!

wifi was spotty in the room

The room was spacious and had a lovely view of the estuary, perfect for our family. The staff were friendly and accommodating. Breakfast was delicious with plenty of options to choose from that our children loved....  

Not a bad place if you're in the area

So, we took a little trip, right? The food was actually pretty decent, especially those kippers smoked on-site that were just spot on, and that big comfy bed in the room made it hard to get up in the morning....
